This Space Is
For You Too
For the siblings of children with special needs — the ones who love quietly, adapt without being asked, and carry more than anyone realises. You are seen. You are remembered. You belong here.
Drawn from Leah's experience in Sarah's story.
Today's Scripture
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
— Joshua 1:9
Today's Devotional
Being the sibling of a child with special needs asks something extraordinary of you. You grow up faster. You learn patience before your peers do. You become an advocate without anyone teaching you how. You carry things quietly that most children your age will never have to carry. Leah once told her mother: 'I am not sad, Mum. I am just tired sometimes.' That honesty was one of the bravest things she ever said. It is brave to name your tiredness. It is brave to keep going. And the God who calls you to courage is the same God who promises to walk every step of this journey with you.
Today's Prayer
God, give me strength for today. Not the kind that pretends everything is fine, but the kind that is honest about the hard parts and keeps going anyway. Thank You for walking with me. Thank You for seeing my courage even when no one else does. Amen.
Today's Affirmation
"I was chosen for this family, and I am enough."
Speak this over yourself today
From Leah's Journey
The day Leah told her mother she was tired, Sarah stopped everything she was doing, sat down on the floor beside her daughter, and held her for a long time. Neither of them said anything. It was enough.
One Practical Step
Tell someone you trust one honest thing about how you are feeling today. You do not have to carry it alone.
